Our story began in 2018, when a group of professionals came together with a shared conviction: the need to create and strengthen protected areas to safeguard sites fundamental to the country's biodiversity. Thus, Natura Argentina was born, from the convergence of science, vocation, and a commitment to nature.
Since then, our journey has continued to grow. In 2020, the Naturaleza Argentina Foundation was officially established; in 2022, we participated in the collective creation of Ansenuza National Park; in 2024, we supported the creation of the Uspallata Defense Nature Reserve; and in 2025, we participated in processes that advanced the protection of 180,000 hectares in Catamarca, working alongside local municipalities, among other milestones that have expanded our work and our presence throughout the country.

But growth hasn't just been about adding projects. It's also about learning.
Over the years, we have become an interdisciplinary and increasingly federal team, with a presence in different regions and a way of working based on collaboration, continuous learning, and listening. Experience has shown us that conservation is not just about protecting species and ecosystems. t is also about recognizing the histories, knowledge, cultures, and ways of life that exist in each place, and building alongside those who inhabit them.

That is why we developed a socio-territorial management and approach model that integrates scientific knowledge, local participation, and institutional coordination. A way of practicing conservation with rigor, but also with a personal touch; with data, but also with listening; with concrete objectives, but understanding that each place has its own timelines, voices, and forms of organization.
Ultimately, it is about the same idea that today summarizes our identity: conserving nature, honoring culture. conservar la naturaleza, honrar la cultura.
A name that better tells our story.
A name that better tells our story. Today, after this journey, we are taking a step toward institutional consolidation. We are leaving behind the name Natura Argentina to present ourselves publicly as Fundación Naturaleza Argentina. Fundación Naturaleza Argentina (Fundación Naturaleza Argentina) is the name that now brings all of that together..

We are not a new organization. Nor is this the beginning of a new story. The way we present ourselves has changed, but not our mission, our team, our projects, or the partnerships we've built over the years. As our new identity explains, it's a step toward consistency: making visible in our name what has always accompanied our work.

We continue working to ensure Argentina has more protected areas, better managed and with greater social legitimacy. We continue integrating science and local knowledge, strengthening community participation, building alliances, and supporting long-term conservation processes. And we continue to believe that caring for nature is a collective responsibility.
And we continue to believe that caring for nature is a collective responsibility.

We currently carry out projects in five provinces, in ecosystems as diverse as the country we inhabit. In each of them, there are landscapes, species, communities, stories, and people who make conservation work possible.
Fundación Naturaleza Argentina (Fundación Naturaleza Argentina) is the name that now brings all of that together. es el nombre que hoy reúne todo eso.
A new name for a story that continues to grow.
